A significant fraction of the research conducted at LMFL is experimental. The laboratory therefore has a wide range of equipment at each of its three sites. Most of this equipment is unique in France, and some of it is unique internationally. The equipment is grouped into several certified platforms. Only the main items of equipment are detailed below.
